Happy Birthday Richard,
The announcement led me through some happy memories of past students.
Gayle Paoletti organized a wonderful memorial, and John was the first of several guests who spoke of Augustino's great qualities as a coach and someone who created an atmosphere of fun and affection.
For a time I thought I was the only LAHS teacher in attendance, then I met a former student and found he went on to be part of the faculty. This is Bill Caspers, and the minute I saw his smile it brought back fond memories of the Class of '69. I was a brand new teacher, hired for my background in geography, but assigned one period of Civics with a couple students who put me through the wringer -- but those sophomores were so friendly and full of fun that I felt genuinely accepted. Subsequent classes perpetuated that atmosphere and some are still my friends after all these years.
With colleagues like Augie Paoletti and students like Bill Caspers, and with a loving wife and three wonderful daughters, life was rich.

I’m in Gilroy but didn’t find anything on Mark. Did you find any contact information ?

Hey Eric, would you post a yearbook photo of Ron Hasegawa ? I may be confusing him with an earlier graduate, but his involvement with dialysis and descriptions of his sincerity and kindness remind me of a student that was quite short and very studious. I don’t think he took my class, perhaps I observed him in a colleague’s class.
I send my best wishes to Terry's family. After 50 years, just seeing his name brought his face and warm feelings to my mind -- that's the kind of positive impression Terry made on me.

Tracey, I just learned of your husband's passing. I hope this message doesn't renew your pain, but gives you comfort to know you are cared for. Phill

I don’t mean to be cruel, but you are all getting old — I’m just sayin’
Great to see that face again, and ben's too.
Eric and his friend, Ben Leifer, were the backbone of the Model U.N. and .... they introduced me to ecology.
