Joe Forte was born 2 October 1938 and died just short of his 73 birthday on 30 September 2011.

Joe had polio as a child and beat it only to get Cancer as an adult and he managed to beat that until this last bout. He bravely dealt with heath issues for many years.

He loved old cars and car shows and had a great baby blue Chevy that he showed proudly.  He was the owner of J.& J. Farms. He farmed in Los Banos for over 50 years, growing cotton, alfalfa, and corn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and travel. He especially enjoyed restoring his 1958 Chevy Impala.

He was a proud member of the first graduating class of OLF Catholic School and also a 1957 graduate of Los Banos High School.

His wife Virginia Meneze Forte (51 years) survives along with his Mother Mable Jordan Forte. He also had 3 children, Donna, John & Anthony. He also had 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Joe was a distant cousin to his classmate, Josie Correllus Bosworth.
