James Mangus

James was born in Salkston, Missouri July 5, 1939.  He died of congestive heart failure at age 65 in Oroville, California.. He was already ill when he attended one of our reunions. He and his wife owned a resturant at one time in Oroville, California. He had four children. When he lived in Los Banos he served as a city policeman. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing and baseball. He loved BINGO and his grandchildren. (8 of them!)  He had 4 children and was married 38 years to his wife, Murval. James had Cancer 10 years before he passed and beat it only to die of heart failure.

*Kathy, James' daughter contacted us to say, "He was the best Dad, Husband and Grandpa that anyone could ever hope for. She was truly blessed to have him as a Dad."

Over the years I used to love visiting my dads hometown of Los Banos. We would go hunting there and fishing my parents met there while dad was a police officer and mom was a waitress.
