Keri Lutes Brown

After graduating with an English degree from Bellarmine in 1992, I spent a few years trying to figure out what to "be." I finally felt a calling to become a teacher, so I earned my MAT from Spalding and taught middle school in Oldham County for several years. I loved teaching, but once I married and started a family, I knew I wouldn't have the energy and focus to do both well, so I quit teaching to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm thrilled that I have the opportunity to spend so much time with my children when they're young. We're considering homeschooling, too -- I'd have the best of both worlds: teaching and being a mom at the same time! :-)
