hey debi ... yes there is a 10 run rule after the 4th inning or 15 before the 4th but the losing team got last bats and they couldnt get 3 outs . they just kept walking us or we kept getting hits. believe me we were all ready to go . it wasnt fun for anyone ! what is park bumann ??? david nice quote . debi have you talked to anyone about easter ? is it for sure at your house ? at 3 did you say ?? what should i bring ?? can we have a egg hunt ?

We really enjoyed your visit yesterday. Both times you have visited, yesterday and the time before you went back to the hospital for this round of surgeries, it seemed like my flowers just took off. They were glad to see you, too.

You can come back anytime. Like Dad and his 4th of July tomatoes that he strived to get, your presence make my flowers want to bloom early. You know I would love that.

I think I have an extra "Blessing" daylily for you. It is a beautiful pinkish color and it is a blessing from God that you are on the road to recovery. With our prayers, and yours, God will wrap his healing arms around you.

You are correct. You have a second chance at life. What will you do with it? I know it will include Cara, but how will it be special and how will it please God?

I love you and look forward to your next visit. Maybe next Thursday after your doctor visit?

"PARK BUMANN" is our backyard. Debi, Matt, Danica, Jim, and I played soccer,

frisbee,

and bocci ball. No picture for bocci. We hit golf balls and Matt has a wicked drive from the tee. Several of his shots went to the pond across the field. We could not believe it!

Sherri: You can tell Nick that his "banana" shot is similar to some of Matt's drives. They must be family! Danica, Debi, and I practiced our 7-iron shots.

I am trying to talk Debi into taking golf lessons so we can play together. Jim rode the grandboys' motorcycle and Matt tried to get his tall body in the race car. Good thing it was not completely charged or he may have injured himself. It is built for smaller guys like Alec and Aidan. There was not a lot of room for Matt to move. It was a great Thursday evening. No plans were made; it just happened on the spur of the moment.

Debi: Hope you have Easter at your house. We will all bring something, so you won't have to do it all. I can bake a turkey breast

and make a few side dishes. I can make my frozen pears

just for you. LOL! It would be a good time to see

and most all of us are free on Sunday. WE CAN ALL WEAR OUR EASTER BONNETS IF YOU WANT!

We can all bring plastic eggs filled with goodies and prizes for the kids to hunt.

Your house is already clean because of Bunco! It looked so nice.

Hi everyone. We had our first visit from the home nurse today and will have the Physical Therapist come today around 4:00. Mickey has been doing pretty good. He's experimenting with walking without his walker, and does pretty good. Of course that is when his pain meds are working. He has been able to sleep in the bed, but has to get in just the right position to keep from hurting. He still likes sitting in the recliner best, but has a hard time getting out of it. We've experimented a few ways that are best to help him up, and have found one that works pretty well. He is still pretty weak so as he strengthens that will get easier. He is sleeping pretty good right now. I've been working in the yard between rain showers. Bunko was great - even though I'm a LOSER! Jen - I thought you did an excellent job of driving. You didn't do anything to scare me! If your driving scared everyone, just wait until it's my turn to drive. They ain't seen nuthin yet! Ha Ha!! (Ain't that right Mickey!) Vickie - did you talk to Mickey? He tried to call you back after the nurse left but you didn't answer. I went outside so don't know if you two connected. Nights are pretty rough, but during the day he has been doing pretty good so far. As you all know, he still get's pretty emotional, but I think after all he's been through that's normal and understandable. It usually doesn't last but a few minutes until he gets his mind on something else. OK - rain stopped - back to work!

Sorry that I have not been on here. Have had Nicholas here with us most of the time for over a week. Takes alot of my time and attention. He will be two years old next month and is very active.

Have enjoyed talking to Mickey frequently. So happy that he is up and walking, especially in his flower garden.

Have talked to Mom quite a bit, thanks everyone for taking care of her.

Glad to hear that Marisa is in town. Hope everyone has a great time tomorrow.

Happy Easter all! We made it to church this morning and Mickey is now resting up. If he feels up to it we may ride to my sister's in a little while so we can see my kids. If not, they'll stop by over here later. Judy just lives off of Old Third Street Rd - about 15 min away so if he needs to come home we can. I hope he is up to it.

I'm going to have to work some this week - probably Monday, Tues and Wednesday since he has doctors appts Thurs, Friday and next Monday. The therapist/VNA thinks it's ok to leave Mickey home alone some since he's getting around so good, but I really need someone at least be able to come in and check up on him from time to time. I'll talk to Jen/Jamie as they said they could help some but if anyone has time and are planning to visit if you could let me know so I could maybe work out a schedule around that. I can go to work any time - even for a couple of hours here and there if that's what it takes - and I can bring work home too but there are some things that I need to be at work to do. Just let me know and thanks for the offers.
