03/19/09 09:55 PM #72     Jeff Minton I'm sorry to say to everyone that I won't in fact be able to make it to the reunion. My mom - and if you remember her, you know her - was hospitalized 3 weeks ago. She was still living on Pinecroft Dr in Okolona. As always, she was fiercely independent, if not a little touched, and diabetes and heart disease are, as they say, a bitch. She had to have her left foot amputated and suffered heart and kidney failure. Believe it or not, she's still kickin', and she's at a Highlands nursing and rehab facility. After she checked in from being in UL ICU for 2.5 weeks on a ventilator, she called the prosthetic guy right after getting off her first access to phone to me and my mema to ask when he could come see her for a fitting. (I hope I have at least those genes). That being said, I was back in Louisville for an emergency visit when she went to ICU, I'll be back in a few weeks to deal with the rehab facility, and then I need to be back post the reunion for her guardianship hearing. The timing then isn't going to work out for the exact date of the reunion. However, I would love to get with who is available for one of the two times I will be in Louisville over the next few weeks. Anyone up for Sat 4/3 or Fri 5/22? AND, I want pictures from the reunion.

It was such a trip talking to her when trying to contact you. I was saving some of your childhood stories she shared for happy hour at the reunion:-) I'll watch the news, because I'm sure there'll be some amputee marathon she'll enter! I am sorry you cannot attend the reunion. I am not sure if you would rather just meet with the guys, but I will make myself available either of those dates if you meet up with anyone.

03/20/09 09:24 PM #74     Lori Kunzler Jeff, I am also sorry to hear about your Mom but it sounds like she has an unbreakable spirit and won't let these issues get her down. I will keep her in my prayers. I could meet either of those dates as well. Susan and I have gotten together about 3 times now and have had a great time but we can't seem to get anyone else to join us. Maybe they are all just saving the excitement for the reunion!

Damn, try not checking your e-mail for four months,and just see how much you really miss,not to mention the 483 e-mails I had, most of it junk....ain't there a no call list for e-mail? Anyways nice to read all you guys posts and comments and can't wait to see all you guys... and gals,but I still need to know if I was not on the list, because I never recieved my invitation. Susan and I talked about this reunion months back but I lost computer and never heard much else... Not blamin you Susan. 04/05/09 09:47 PM #80     Jeff Minton We were in and out quickly this past weekend (4/3-4) and our schedule didn't permit us getting together. Mom took a turn and we spent a lot of time at Baptist East re kidneys. Thanks Susan, Lori and Laura for the offer to get together. BTW, 21C is a death trap. We got locked in our room (the electronic door locks jammed). I also had food poured on me at Proof by the waiter. After they "lost" our car at the valet the morning we needed to get to the airport, I thought for a moment it was because of me, but then I realized incompetence is worldwide. The fire marshall is getting a sternly written missive from out of state now that we're back safe and sound. We'll be back in May. I'm going with a DC based chain - Marriott.

Work is work but sorry to say I won't be able to make it to the reunion... Going to attempt to get up to Louisville (AGAIN) some time in August (before school starts).. I really would like to see everybody and catch up. Will let you guys know on the date and maybe I will be able to get a couple of drinks somewhere when I get up there..
