Michael Meadows

I will recap 40 years in two paragraphs...no military, was bounced by the Marines while a junior in college due to my two shoulder injuries in H.S. and college. After graduation in Speech Pathology/Audiologist worked in public schools at Boyle County Schools(Danville) where I coached football, wrestling and track for 7 years. Transitioned into the insurance world for the next 20 or so years. Worked first as an insurance claims investigator for Ohio Police and Fire depts., then later as arson/fraud specialist in Eastern KY and Southern Ohio, then was regional claims manager for Ohio, Michigan. After becoming a Claims Operations Consultant for a group of companies in Ohio, Georgia and Minnesota for a few years, I had an opportunity in the mid nineties to come back to KY and buy my own business. Did that, and have been in Richmond, KY since....it's been an interesting run, but I wish I had been a talented artist like my bud Mike (Carter) but stick figures can only carry you so far...I ride a bicycle and swim (for health), a motorcycle (for fun and adventure), play drums (to annoy the neighbors) and travel when we can.
I have tried to "live life to the fullest"...When I see the good friends we've lost, it just affirms that time waits for no one..."love your family and friends, have fun when you can, laugh everyday, and bring a little fun into others lives whenever you can..."

Many "fun" memories of our high school days....football, my '55 Chevy, Fidelian parties, weekend poker parties at Bob Hancock's farm, Mr. Gregg's humanities class, Cox's park, remember "certain" girls trying to pull tabs from the back of guys shirts, and ripping the backs out of the shirts, accidentally "mooning" Mr. Draut and his wife on the way home from an Atherton basketball game (I could have sworn it was Jim Strader!)...not fun was Doug Madison, Jim Noland and myself all having surgery in the same week from football injuries, but coaching the girls football team and winning both years was awesome, ...ahh, those were some good days.... And painting the bleachers during spring break our senior year, not so much...(it was just a few beers, lol!)
