Carole lived down the street from me on Hycliffe Ave. We were good friends and hung out a lot, especially in 5th grade. We spent some time together at a reunion, can't remember which! She was quite the artist and I always wished I could draw like she did!
She was a great friend!!!Carole Benedict was my close friend. we lost each other and I moved to Indiana and then Maine, but we reconnected while home visiting my family. She even mailed her boys clothes in a big box for my boys. When we were younger we biked all over....to Seneca ark and St. Matthews. She was so funny and so clever, what an imagination and YES she loved cats and so do I. I was in touch until the last 3 yrs. every Christmas.
What a wonderful obituary, and a testament to a life well-lived. I remember the good friendship between Nancy and Carole. How lovely that it lasted a lifetime. So many accomplishments! My prayers go to her family and friends. My family experienced the challenges of Alzheimer's which my mom endured for a very long time and I know how hard that must have been for those who loved Carole. May she rest in peace.
