Bruce Henry Broecker, 77, passed away on April 22, 2023. He was born on May 5, 1945, in Louisville, KY to Leo and Jane Broecker.

Bruce led a life of service to others. With 61 years in the fire service, including time as a volunteer, a full-time training officer, and retiring with the rank of Assistant Chief, he protected the community and inspired future generations of firefighters. Even in retirement, he supported training opportunities for firefighters in surrounding areas and on-scene support through the Fire Corps. Bruce also led Boy Scout Troop 317 where some Scouts say they can still hear him sing.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife Linda, sons Kevin (Kimberly) and Doug (Kelley), and grandchildren Megan, Tyler, Jackson, and Katie. He also leaves behind his siblings Brad Broecker and Lynne Anderson as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
