William Edward Hitchcock passed away on March 3, 2023 at the age of 77. He was born on March 7, 1945 in Loveland, Colorado, to Bill and Virginia Hitchcock. Billy is survived by his wife Barbara, son Tom (Robin) and daughter Katie Alexander (Josh); 3 grandsons, Bill Hitchcock, Sam and Brock Alexander; his brother Mick Hitchcock (Elaine) and sister Deb Eye. Billy had a long career in commercial development. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and a long time member of Hurstbourne Country Club. He loved golf, boating, traveling, and UofL football. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the medical staff and caretakers at the Masonic Home Sam Swope Care Center for their care and compassion. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville KY at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
