I am sorry to hear of Don's passing.  I knew him from a young age (we may have been in kindergarten together).  We went our separate ways after WHS, then I connected with him again when my father died and the bank he worked with held the trust that my dad left for mother.  He was very good to work with and very supportive of mother.

I had worked with Don on Trust matters for years prior to his retirement. His wry sense of humor was never missing. Such a trooper about the Parkinson's and found humor when he could. Was shocked at his rapid downturn and had planned on getting over to see him. We lose another stallwart of the Class, so sorry!

I will have to agree with Jacquelyn, Don was a very gentle soul.  Through the years, I have enjoyed getting to know Don & his wife Maida at our reunion committee get togethers. Don will be terribly missed. My deepest condolences to Maida & family.

Don was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a well-respected estate lawyer as well. Don met the challenges that life presented to him with incredible grace and dignity. He loved being with the Rust Control group, even as his ability to contribute declined. We'll all miss him a lot.

It's very sad to see another loyal Rust Control member leave us.  We as a committee have had so much fun working together to bring our classmates together.  Don dealt with a terrible disease with dignity.  It was great to have him join Rust when he did.  We will all miss Don very much. His wife, Maida, also joined in on some Rust meetings.  We will miss her, too!

Most sorry to hear about "Donnie", as John Koon and I knew him as back in the day.  I have not had any contact with him since WHS but John is right we were all in kindergarten together at Beargrass.  I have a photo taken at my house of a group of us from kindergarten including Donnie, John, myself, Mickey Lunsford, Rusty Garth and several others.  Will try to find it and post.

Sad to loose another old friend and classmate.
