Oh my goodness, how I miss Sharon.  I was just re-reading some of the many letters that I had received from her over the years, and was reminded once more of her self-deprecating attitude, her dry wit, her tender heart, , her appreciation of nature, her love of animals, and, always, her love of reading (When we spoke on the phone, part of our conversation would usually include recommendations to each other of our latest favorite reads.). Sharon was a certified swim instructor and scuba diver. I have copies of a couple of underwater pictures she took while scuba diving. And, of course, she adored her children and grandchildren.  Sharon was a loving, forgiving, delightfully irreverent friend who could cut right to the heart of a matter. We didn’t talk every week or even every month, but when we did, we just took up right where we left off. I am glad to have the opportunity to remember her on this site. Those of you who knew her may feel as I do, and be glad that you had a chance to share in her days with us. Rest in peace, dear friend. I’m a little ticked at you for leaving just when I got the front porch with the rockers that we were supposed to share some day. But, hey, save me a place, will you? We still have a lot to talk about, you know.

What a lovely tribute, Ginger.  Sharon was blessed to have you as her friend.
