VOLL, RONALD "RON" K., 63, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Baptist East Hospital, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Ron was born January 27, 1949 in Louisville, where he has lived all his life. Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debra B Voll; children Renee Voll and fiancé Jimmy Dean, Adam Voll and wife Anastasia Voll, and Lindsay Boyles and husband Adam Boyles; grandchildren Major Dean and Colton Boyles; brother David Voll and sister Lisa Wilks. Ron graduated from Waggener High School where he met the love of his life and constant companion, Debra. You never saw one without the other. He graduated Western Kentucky University with a degree in political science in 1972. He was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and was an active member of their alumni association. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a booster member of Ballard High school where his children attended. He was an active member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of St. Matthews. Ron was a die-hard University of Kentucky fan and bled blue. Ron had many careers and made friends with everyone he met. Most recently he worked at SAMs Club and was also self-employed. Ron was the type of person who could talk to anyone; he never met a stranger. Ron was an avid animal lover. Ron was a member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church. Everyone who knew Ron will miss his kind heart and the joy he brought to their lives.
