Comments:
After high school graduation, I attended Texas Tech with best friend and classmate Lynnetta Schwartz (who later married classmate Tommy Hibdon). While at Tech, I was a member of High Riders and student government, wrote and edited sections of the Tech yearbook, and worked for the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences. I graduated from Tech in 1993 with a BA in English/Technical Communications and minors in Geology and Latin.
I left Lubbock as soon as the first job offer came in! I relocated to Dallas, and in the years that followed, I wrote and edited for large telecommunications companies.
I married Ronnie in 1997 and we had the good fortune to do lots of traveling before starting our family. Our first son, Hayden, was born in 2001 and our second son, Reece, followed 22 months later. They are our miracles as Hayden barely survived his delivery and we almost lost Reece during the first trimester of my pregnancy with him.
I've spent the last seven years at home with my boys, but since my youngest started kindergarten in August, I've started back to work. I'm now teaching part-time at our church's preschool and I'm critiquing fiction, non-fiction, and poetry for an online publishing house. I'm also very active with PTA and Cub Scouts (my hubby is Cubmaster).
