Jeremy Grimes

I had joined the Army Reserve while I was a senior in High School. When I came back from basic training and AIT I attended West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M) for a short while then decided to go into active service. Am a Veteran of Desert Shield/Storm and spent most of my active service time stationed in Germany. While I was stationed in Fort Stewart, Georgia, I met my wife of now 16 years, Sara. After I left the service in 1997 We moved back to Lubbock and I began working as a correctional officer for the State of Texas and worked part time for Cinemark Theaters. In 2004, I quit TDCJ and drove Over The Road in 18 wheelers until a back injury forced me off the road. I sold cars here in Lubbock for about 6 months and then in 2007 went back to the job I have always loved the most, working in a movie theater. I am an Assistant Manager for a Cinemark Theater here in town.

Spending time with friends are among my favorite memories, however I remember the 1989 spurs game and decorating my 66 VW Bug to make it look like it was eating a Plainsmen was among one of my favorite memories.

I really wasn't sure. I thought I would still be in the military. I knew I would get married and have children but I really didn't know where my life was going to go.

My wife, kids, Serving my country and working in my all time favorite job. Playing bass guitar for my worship team at church. LOVE IT!!

I am not as skinny as I was when I was in High School. Far from it.

Orchestra and my appreciation of music, my friends, the tradition, spurs games (although we never won) and some of the teachers.

My English Teacher, Mrs. Reynolds. She was such a jerk.

Lived in Germany and starting to play music once again. I play bass guitar for the praise and worship team at church.

My wife and kids. I may not be rich or anything or very well off, but I am happy where I am at and still pressing towards my goal of becoming a GM at a large movie theater.
