Wow, to think that it has been 20 years since I graduated from Lubbock High School.
So, here is my story, I attended Texas Tech for 3 1/2 years and then was accepted to the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston/El Paso for Occupatinal Therapy School. I graduated from O.T. school in December of 1994. I moved back to Lubbock and worked at Methodist Hospital until 1997. I decided to follow Han out to NYC...a huge move...but, well worth it, in the end. I worked as a traveling Occupational Therapsit for 9 months until I landed a permanent job in Ridgewood, N.J. at The Valley Hospital, where I was the supervisor of the Acute Care and Outpatient Occupational Therapy Department. I worked for Valley for 11 years and then made a move due to my children...I now work in the school system, working with the autistic population. I love my new position, however, I love the hours more because it suits my personal life as far as spending time with my family. My family....well, I mentioned earlier that I followed Han...Han is from Lubbock as well...we had been dating since 1992...when he was accepted to grad school in New York City, I decided I was going to follow him out to the east...we continued to date and eventually, we got married in September of 2000. We had a traditional Indian Wedding and a traditional Vietnamese Wedding in Lubbock. We went to Morocco, Portugual, and Spain for our honeymoon. What an great adventure.
We lived in Ridgewood for a few years and then bought our 1st home in Hawthorne, N.J....we lived there for 6 years and had two children. Suruchi is our first born. She was born on December 31st, 2004. The experience of giving birth to her was truly an amazing experience! In 2007, we had our sweet, little, boy, Akshay...I cannot even imagine my life without these two beauties! In October of 2008, we bought another home in North Jersery....Living out in the East Coast has been a truly amazing experience and I have created some life long friends!
