Paul "Roger" Byer

Gillette

Mr. Paul "Roger" Byer died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at his home in Gillette. Roger was born in Lynbrook, NY and was the only son of the late Florence and Paul Byer. He lived in various towns in New York and New Jersey before settling down in Gillette in 1978. He received a Bachelors degree from Muhlenburg College and a Masters from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. After college, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve between 1970 and 1975. Before retiring he rendered his accounting services at several companies before ending his career as a managing director at Mentmore Holdings in Manhattan, NY. He retired in 2000. Roger was a devout Episcopalian and a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge.

Roger is survived by his two sons, Eric and his wife Zoe and Jeff and his wife Carla; four grandchildren, Jackson, Dylan, Brody and Abigail, and two granddogs, Joey and Wilson.

Services will be Tuesday 7:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00-7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
