Since Dale and I were one of the few to marry within the class, I will do the story of our life in my profile. As high school sweethearts, Dale & I tied the knot the following year in August of 1990. We both chose not to go to college, unless you want to count my three days at Whatcom Community College. :) Apparently more schooling was not our thing. Dale started out working on the family dairy and part-time welding for C&C Welding. I first got a job working part-time at the Print Stop, in Lynden. Then at Nooksack Valley Drug Store in Everson, & eventually in the office at Valley Plumbing and Electric. Over the years, as the farm began to grow, Dale gave up his part-time welding job and focused solely on the dairy. We eventually bought into the family farm and continued to buy other farms in the neighborhood to expand our dairy. By 2002, we had grown into a relatively large dairy but were not enjoying the ups and downs of the "milk market". So in 2003, we decided to give up dairy farming altogether and sold the cows. Dale then went on to become an electrician at Valley Plumbing & Electric and to not totally forsake his love for farming began raising calves. We now, with the help of our boys, raise around 500 newborn (0-6 month calves) for a local dairy farmer. We both also continue to work for Valley Plumbing & Electric. Besides keeping busy with work we also enjoy the busyness of raising 4 boys. Our oldest, TJ, is 16 and entering his junior year at LC. It seems impossible to have a kid that old. Our next son, Levi, is almost 14 and entering the 8th grade. It's funny to see them with some of the same teachers we had when we were in school. Our youngest two, Braden and Kolton, are 10 and 6 and entering 5th and 1st grade at LC. Needless to say we have a pretty large tution bill. We now realize how much our parents sacrificed to send us to Lynden Christian, for that we are grateful. So in a nut shell, that has been our life over the past 20 years. God has truly blessed!
