1969, Seems like such along time ago. After leaving Ohio State, I Started out as a sales rep for an automotive distributor and advanced to become the national sales manager. I did that until 1978, when I was offered a sales position in the aluminum scrap industry by a friend. In 1980 I married Leah Dicker, a 1971 Brush graduate. We had no children and divorced in 2000. Leah and I still talk once in a while, and have remained very good friends over the years. For the next 20 years I traveled 40 different states buying truckloads of aluminum scrap from large corporations for recycling purposes. The travel was fun, and it allowed me to see the country and meet a lot of great people. I retired from the industry in 2001. In 1987, kowing I wouldn't want to travel forever, I purchased an car wash in Parma Ohio. My brother came on board shortly after, and helped run it while I still traveled. In September of 2006, after almost 20 years of washing cars, I sold the car wash. For the last 2 years I have been spending my time in Cleveland and Florida, wondering what I was going to do with the rest of my life. Well, I figured it out, I'm going to SELL COOKIES!! Let me explain. While in Florida, all I heard about was the COOKIE DIET. People were losing from 10 to 100 lbs. by eating cookies all day and not feeling hungry. Sounds crazy but it works and it's fun. It's really simple, you eat 6 cookies a day, which are all natural and 60% organic, as well as 8 to 12 ounces of protein at dinner, and all the veggies you like. The key to the plan is drinking 8 glasses of water a day, and avoiding fruit and red meat. Most people will average around 1200 calories a day, and never feel hungry. The average person will lose approx. 8 to 15 lbs. a month. I guess to believe it, you have to try it. I did, and now weigh less than I did in 1969. I have since been awarded a licence to sell and distribute The Smart For LIfe weight management program for the Cleveland area. We are presently opening a distribution center in Bedford, Ohio. I am presently engaged to a girl, named Caryn, who I dated at Ohio State. She has 2 daughters ages 19 and 24 and lives in South Florida, which explains why my time is spent in both cities. Around the time of my divorce, I had heard that her husband had passed away. I called to express my condolences, and nine years later, hear we are. A happy ending for all.
