Shirley Mae Baldwin passed from this life to another in Edmonds, Washington, on Tuesday, November 14, 2006. She was born in Ballard, Washington, on January 6, 1951. She graduated from Meadowdale High School and lived most of her life in Edmonds.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughter, Julie Aspnes; stepchildren, Renee' Ackerman, Laurie Martin, Shawn Baldwin, and Tanya Baldwin; parents, John and Shirley Grosso, of Edmonds; brother, John Grosso; sisters, Patty Huso, Suzanne Young, and Janie McDonald; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Grosso.
Shirley enjoyed life and people to the fullest. She was always interested in helping people. Her passions were doing crafts, gardening, and gambling. Her pride and joy was her yard.
She worked for the Edmonds School District Food Service at Sherwood Elementary for the past several years where she touched the lives of children and school staff. She made it a point to treat each child personally and involved herself in their lives and considered the staff to be her extended family.
