AS PER THE ARKANSAS GAZETTE ON APRIL 1, l966:

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Brindley Matthews, age 22, of 1512 Adams Street, wife of John Michael Matthews, died Wednesday. She was an employee of Southern Equitable Live Insurance Company and a member of Highland Heights Presbyterian Church. Other survivors are a son, Gregory Michael Matthews; a daughter, Sheri Michelle Matthews; her parents, Mr. and Mrs H.P. Brindley; a sister, Mrs. Brenda Smith; and her grandparents, Mrs J. P. Brindley and Mrs Clarence Hill, all of Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Griffin-Leggett by Rev. John Banks and Rev. Woodrow Smith. Pallbearers will be Warren Meade, Charles Stroud, Pat Norman, Larry Light, Larry Bradford and Tom Hogg. Burial will be at Pine Crest Memorial Park.
