School Story:
Running track and cross country was a sport that was not very popular in our hayday years!
In 1963, I was asked to comment about winning the most valuable athlete award in varsity Track and Field. I was honored and response was that running would be a sport that many people would pursue late in life. Today there are millions of people running recreationally, competing in multitude of races or just trying "to do the first step!" Running was for life...I am still running...and proud to say, been blessed, have stayed healthy...completed the Boston Marathon in 90 degree heat in April of 2012!
