Mr. Robert Mason "Bob" Gordon, age 73 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on December 11, 1952, in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late Charles A. and Bonnie McClure Gordon. He was a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. Bob was inducted into the United States Navy on August 30, 1971 in Petersburg, serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on July 16, 1975, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He re-enlisted On July 17, 1975 and rose to the rate of BM2 and was honorably discharged on November 14, 1980. Bob worked two years in civil service at Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard in Washington. He resided in Carrollton from 1993-2025 and then moved back to Madison. He had worked for Arvin Meritor, Dow Corning, North American Stainless and last worked with Carrollton Housing in maintenance for 10 years. Bob was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion and Carrollton American Legion. He also held membership in Madison Moose Lodge No. 725. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on his lawn mower and polishing his truck. Robert died on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 7:45 p.m.at his home in Madison, Indiana. 

A LOVING FAMILY 
Robert will be missed by his loving wife, Eva Shawntale Gray Gordon of Madison, Indiana; his son, Troy Gordon of Hanover, Indiana; his daughter, Starla Carpenter of Washington; his step son, Joseph Gray of Carrollton, Kentucky; his step daughters, Crystal Rayborn of Carrollton, Kentucky, and Tiffany Phillips and her husband, Travis of Ghent, Kentucky; 5-grandchildren; 8-step grandchildren; 3-step great grandchildren; his brother, Larry Loh; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Gordon, his mother, Bonnie McClure Gordon Cleveland, his sisters, Twyla Loh and Marla Gordon Gladish.
