BRUCE'S OBITUARY

U.S. Veteran  

Mr. Bruce Lynn Robbins, age 70, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 11, 1953 in Seymour, Indiana in Jackson County. He was the loving son of the late Robert Lynn and Frankie Joan Collins Robbins. He had resided in Madison since 1958 and was a 1971 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He then attended Indiana University from 1972-1974, He was baptized at a young age at the First Presbyterian Church in Crothersville, Indiana after moving to Madison the family attended the Madison Presbyterian Church in downtown Madison. He currently attended the Point of Grace Church in Madison. Bruce was inducted into the United States Navy on April 8, 1974 and rose to the rate of Seaman serving at Great Lakes, Illinois during the Vietnam era. He was honorably discharged receiving the National Defense Service Medal. Bruce had worked security for many years for Allied Universal and currently working security for Madison Precision in Madison, Indiana. He enjoyed reading and caring for his brother and sister. Bruce died on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. at the Robley Rex Veterans Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. 

A LOVING FAMILY 
Bruce will be missed by his loving brother, David Neal Robbins of Madison, Indiana; his loving sister, Rachel Ann Robbins Barnes of Madison, Indiana; several cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lynn Robbins, died May 29, 2000, his mother, Frankie Joan Collins Robbins, died January 2, 2009, his grandparents, Vernia and Amy Bridges Robbins & David Franklin and Ethel Beldon Collins, his aunts, Nora May Bryant, Helen Carter, Mary Benedict, and Marjorie Phillips. 

FUNERAL CEREMONY 
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Adam Faulkner at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.  

VISITATION 
Friends may visit Thursday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

MILITARY HONORS
A final salute and military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.

Sorry to hear of your passing Bruce....I remember you from the early grade school days at E.O. Muncie.  Thank You for your service to our country; I seem to remember that you had an interest in the military even in grade school.  GOD speed Bruce.
