Everytime I get news of a deceased class member, it makes me realize how lucky I am.
I used to hang with Billy and stay overnight at his house as kids. He lived with his grandparents and they always made me feel welcome. There was a creek and woods behind his house and we would spend all day back there playing in the creek - looking for a grape vine big enough for us to swing on - hunting mud puppies - only good memories.
Billy G. played a mean game of ping pong and a wicked sax. A bunch of us used to camp out and Billy would bring his sax and I brought my guitar, we thought it sounded good .... hadn't heard from him in over 10 years and was very sad to hear of his death. Hang on to the good memories.
Billy, Bill Davee, and I would get together over at the Davee's and play basketball alot. We also would get together with Jay Richmond, Pat Dryden, and a few others (I won't mention) to play poker and party. They were some good times and memories that will not be long forgotten. Whever you are Billy - your friends sure do miss you and your friendship.
