Its a long ways back to 1979 and graduation from MHS. I stayed in the Madison area for a year and worked at Automatic Switch in Florham Park, then in 1980 Departed and joined the U.S. Army and started what turned out to be a 20 year career traveling all over the world. I spent 2 tours in Germany where I got to see a LOT of Europe. Spent 1 year in Korea where I got to see a lot of the woods and training areas there. I married in 1982, while stationed in Alexanderia Virginia. We had 5 Children all listed above, and lost my youngest son in 1999. I retired from the U.S. Army on 1 Nov of 2000, and spent the next year or so just doing what I wanted to do and living off of my retirement as I divorced that same year. I then took a job as the Area Manager for a Security Company out of NJ, running all fo the contracts they had in the Shenandoah Valley of Va. Worked for them for just over a year when they were bought out by a much larger company. I stayed for one month and resigned and went to work for a Private Military Academy in Woodstock Virginia where I spent the next 5 years (4 of which I was the Athletic Director) I have been coaching Football and Baseball, and most of all took over a brand new Wrestling team and built it up. We have won 3 Conference Championships and 1 State Championship in my 5 years. I resigned From that school in May of 2009 as I am moving over to another Military School in Virginia and taking over the Wrestling Program there also. My kids are all grown now, 3 of them went on to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, 2 in the Navy and one in the Army. The 2 in the Navy are now out or on Active Reserve Status and my son in the Army has just returned from his 3rd Tour in Iraq and is now facing a Medical Discharge due to an illness he aquired while deployed.
Like I said its been a long time since good old Madison High School in 1979.
