After graduation, I chose to stay in this community and worked for some different companies for a few years. In 1995, I started driving a truck and have spent the last 10 years driving for Acme Brick Company at their Little Rock Sales location in Maumelle. Also in 1995, I married Carla Douglas from Glen Rose. Sadly, after just 6 months of marriage she passed away from complications during her pregnacy with our little angel Michael Joseph who also passed away. It's been a very long road back, but the good Lord replaced a tragedy with a blessing when I met my beautiful wife and best friend Christi Byrd from Haskell. She is a kindergarten teacher at Glen Rose and has blessed me with 3 beautiful children. In 2000 we built our home on the property where I grew up and are happy raising our children here. We stay on the go with Cobey,15 and CaLeigh,13 who both play Jr. High basketball for GR and Lukas,6 who is our little baseball player. Glen Rose Schools have changed alot since 1988, but it's great to go back and remember all the good friends I made there.
