It's been 50 years since I played JV foortbal at MHS... and I still remember there was NOBODY who coul kick a footbal like Mike Lackey... Bernie could toss those 60 yard spirals and Mike could punt the same. Never knew anyone else with a foot like that. RIP Mike.
Mike and I had stayed close firends for 60 years even after he moved to Deleware. I (we) were fortunate to have seen him at our house on the Cape last fall. The list is endless with what Mike and I did as kids and adults. But what I loved most about Mike from the day I met him, was that we laughed a lot together, whether it was in person or on the phone. I will miss Mike dearly.
