Hey everyone! My sister told me about this web site for MPHS 1977! I finally decided to put my profile on here and I can really see the enthusiasm that everyone has about communicating with all of the people who graduated from MPHS 1977. I'm overwhelmed by the response! Just kidding! I would love to see all you guys and chat about the old days! I can't believe that Ray Young lives right here in Front Royal Va and I probably have passed him on the street and not even realized it!It is such a small world!
Has anyone been able to get in touch with any of the missing classmates? Most of the people on the list I have known since the first grade!!

hi john, glad you like the site. we have found everybody and are in the process of sending notes to all of them so we can get the reunion in the planning stage. i am not too hard to find in front royal, just look for the fire truck in my driveway, lol. its great we all can remember the old days and the friends that made those times special. have you been to the mphs 1977 site we have on facebook? its filled with photos, check it out when you get a chance.

I'm so glad to have a place where we all can go and chat.  John it is so nice to know that you live close.  I haven't really seen anyone since our last reunion.  John Bauer, Gayle Gallahan, Kim Bandy, Wanda Proffitt, Cindy Dazzo, Wanda Blankenship, Doug Curry.  I know there were a few more but getting old.  I have pictures from that day that I will have to upload.  It would be so nice to have as many as we can at the 35 year reunion even if we could have it a year earlier and call it 34 +1. Maybe the ones that live close can get together and just sit around talk and bring up old memories.  I think that we also need to find Anthony Peacher even though he didn't graduate with us.  He was so funny on the bus to the beach.

anthony peacher has been found. he lives in nokesville. contact me , have the information and phone number.  agree that we all need to get togeather ,talk, and bring up some of those great memories. deb, everytime i talk to you i remember things that i have not remembered in years. like lake jackson, totally forgot about that get togeather. you know something, you could not have a party like that these days. that was the age of  being innocent. we were all a great bunch of kids, i don t care what anyone says. i hear a bunch of the people at stonewall meet once a month at various places, why can t we do that? it would  be great to see each other and catch up, i would be in if we all could get the ball rolling.   am a firm believer in the fact that you cannot count on the next day, you gotta do some things now while you still can. want to go on record as saying that i care about all you guys, i never stopped careing. we all helped each get through the hard  parts of teenage life, that is what made our group so special.

 Ray,

I'm all for a get together!! The Stonewall people apparentlly meet up at an Italian Resturant in Haymarket on Friday nights. I can't remember the name of the place but it's right on the main drag through Haymarket. I spoke to a guy that works out at Golds Gym in Front Royal ( His name is Mike Rowe), he went to Stonewall (81) but he said most of his friends went to MP. He said they love seeing people from Stonewall, Manassas Park, Osbourn, Brentsville. From any class. They have people that graduated in 1973 all the way up to recent that have gone up there. Apparently, Ken Ryders' band plays up there as well on Friday nights. It sounds like they have a good time.

I don't think they do it every Friday night but maybe once a month or so. I have not attended yet though.

hey john; why don t we see if we can get the crew togeather and go one friday night, i am up for a good night out with my good friends from high school. debbie had an idea, why don t we all get togeather this summer and see a concert? i think that would be an awsome thing, kinda like going to the capitol center when we were all young. a night like that with a band from the day  and all of the old gang would be just the ticket i think. mark your calander for the 33th class reunion in front royal on royal lane  sunday, june 27th 2010 at 12 - ?.  just know we all going to have a blast reminiscing about the past. also we have the reunion planning on june 6th at the panara bread in gainesville at 1 pm.  am working on getting photos of fire stuff togeather for you, its hard to believe all the stuff i have collected over the years. give me a call john (540 671 5955) and lets see if we can get the guys togeather. and if you are up that early i am at golds from 5-6 monday-friday. take care, talk to you later. ray.

Hi John,

How are you doing?  I haven't seen you since high school...  I saw your sister at my Brother Skip's funeral in 2008, she said you were doing well.

The last I heard about you, was that you were  a fire fighter in Manassas Park.  What are you doing now?

I have seen Peanut, Kate Avinger-Jenkins and Carla Thornton since school.  Carla and I are still best friends, 51 years now.

Looking forward to talking to ya

Hey everybody, just thought I'd chk in and say "Hey". I really feel like I need to apologize about not showing my face at the reunion. I was just in such a 'funk' at the time, things were really going badly for me and I just wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Things are going better now though. Still disabled with my back, hopefully I'll be able to go back to work after another surgery this fall. (That'll be the third)

Anyway, I just happened to finally look at the pictures from the reunion... And now feel like kicking myself in the ass for not coming. Looks like everyone had a pretty good time.

Take care Ya'll.

Kevin
