Not enough words or space can be set aside for what David Dellinger deserves in time to reflect. David is an icon to the Class of '70, the High School of Osbourn, and the City of Manassas. His spirit is the glue of our company. His words made us laugh. His deeds to me and my family, long after I left Manassas, will never be forgotten. May David's life examples be a guide to all of us.

First and foremost, David was a true friend. I doubt that David ever met a stranger. He was always a professional when it came to his pharmacy, and he helped countless folks above and beyond the call, in ways unknown to most. Living in Manassas, I was fortunate to see David frequently, and I was the beneficiary of listening to his stories and opinions on an array of subjects, not mattering whether I agreed with him or not.

I always looked forward to reunion time. One of the joys of our reunions was participating with David in our meetings. We would have to begin meeting about 18 months before the reunion, because including David in the meetings meant 20 minutes of work and an hour of stories, which meant more meetings were required, which meant more stories...we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Thanks, David.

David: you left us too soon. We know you looked down on our seriously wonderful 40th class reunion with pride. Just know that you are never forgotten and will always be in our hearts.
