I went to Willamette University in Salem, OR for undergrad & got a BA in Business Economics & a minor in Japanese. I did a semester exchange in Japan. Met my husband my freshman year, married in April 1994. Returned to WU & got my JD & MM (MBA + MPA). Passed the Bar in 2001 & started practicing in Cortez. Followed Monte to Boulder when he entered a graduate studies program. Moved to Northglenn 2 years ago. Still a sole practitioner, working out of my house.
Love my job, though I've ended up specializing in family law (divorce & custody), which I thought I'd never do. Turns out I'm good at it. It doesn't bother me like I thought it would & it's an opportunity to help people through difficult times. It's also an opportunity to be a voice encouraging sanity toward handling the children. I also do estate planning (you all have your Wills done, yes? If not, call me, especially those with children!). I enjoy it even more, since it's preventing problems.
My husband is my opposite in so many ways (the Chinese zodiac says of our combination "do you really have to??"), but we bring out the best in each other. Hard to believe this April is already/finally 15 years. lol
No children yet. We're working on adoption. Looking at teenagers (yes, we're nuts & we freely admit it!)
Work & church keep me pretty busy, but I still make time for friends & family. If you ever find yourself anywhere near Northglenn, give me a call and we'll get together for a cup of tea/coffee.
