School Story:
"I never let school get in the way of my education" -Mark Twain.
I like reading books.
Atul Gawande's Being Mortal is the latest book I bought.
I just finished Moonwalking with Einstein by Josh Foer and have just started Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other by Sherry Turkle. Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence is awesome. Anything by Brene Brown is a great read, too.
I watch a lot of news and am interested in economics (so cool, right?) Democracy Now and the real news.com are some of my most traveled websites for good news coverage.
I still listen to a wide variety of music (I just saw Bad Religion at Summerfest in 2013) and love art (I got to go to the Rembrandt show when it passed through Milwaukee twice).
I also have been involved with volunteering as a Big Brother for the last 6 years which has added greatly to the fabric of my life. I recently started volunteering at St. Luke's hospital once a week engaging with elderly to assist in preventing hospital acquired delirium. It's been totally fun so far.
