Why You Should Come
You Don't Have To Be Nervous About The Class Reunion
Some people might be so nervous about coming to their 20th class reunion that they decide not to. Thoughts and preoccupations cause people to skip their class reunions. Thoughts like "I've gained weight" and "I've gone bald," and questions such as "What if I don't know anybody?" and "What if no one remembers me?" cause alumnus to miss out on a great time every year.
You're not alone! Everyone has these thoughts creep into their minds. Make sure that these ideas DO NOT get in the way of you attending what promises to be a great party!
No one looks the same as when they were eighteen, and judging from the pictures of us sporting our old hair-styles and clothes, it is very likely that we're looking BETTER than ever!
Change is inevitable. Instead of focusing on the major differences in our appearances, we need to accept who we are and be ourselves. Going to our Twenty Year High School Reunion is going to be a GREAT experience if we can let go of our worries and just HAVE FUN!
Focus on catching up with old friends, making some new ones, and having a GREAT time celebrating! While we are now all on our own paths, at one time all of our paths intersected at Roncalli High School. Let's travel that path again!
Here are some tips to help you relax at the class reunion:
- Have a positive attitude by going into the night planning on having fun.
- Be yourself and be proud of who you are.
- Dress comfortably.
- Remember everyone will have changed, not just you.
- Meet with a few close classmates beforehand and go to the reunion together.
- It is perfectly okay to not remember somebody, and it's going to be okay if
someone doesn't remember you. Names fade with our memories. Look at this as an opportunity to meet new people!
