Comments:
I enlisted in the US Navy...5 days after graduation...so i didn't get to see any off after graduation.
I went to Book Camp in Chicago IL. afetr that, my first duty station was GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL AIR STATION. I had a one year there...then i took another year there,...to do some collage courses...went through a hurricane. After GTMO, i went back to the Carrier. I got out in 1985...I did 4 yrs.
I ended up in north tx....
I started my first civikian job...with an airline outfit called butler avaition at DFW AIRPORT. I worked with them for 1 year. Since then I have been working for american Airlines.
I went into the Naval Air reserves...in 1996...Working with the F14 tomcat....Then we transitioned into the f18 Hornet A model...then the B model came out, replaced the A.
Now I had been married since 07/26/1996 we were expecting out first child. A baby girl CORA
In OCT. 2002...out VFA-201 hunters, was military activated in the campaign Iraqi Freedom. We first had to go to Fallen Nevada,..to be introduced to the new f18 SUPER HORNET.
After this,...we proceeded to Naval station Norfolk VA. and meet up with the THEODORE ROOSEVELT CVN-71 . I'm back on the Carrier...again. On the way over to country,...we were in a 25ft. wave thunderstorm ,...I was assigned to an f18...I was a Plane captain...I was on top of the right wing...doing a rivet integrity check..after my pilot brought it back from a sortie. The ship did a 10 degree nose roll...I slid off the wing of the f18,..i landed on the flight deck with my right elbow under my ribcage...this caused my back some serious disc problems. I got my first KAT shot off the Carrier. I was sent to SJU to catch a trip back to Dfw. Once here I got an MRI done,...1 disc was completly black...the other was almost black,..i did the steroid lumbar injections...fiset blocks...i couldn't handle the 3 inch needles...i had to stop it...temporary fix.
I am now fused at l4l5 s1 level of my back...with severe leower back nerve damage...and leg burning.
