Julie Sutherland, 37, of Mansfield, died July 20, 2008 at her home. Born May 5, 1971 in Galion, she was the daughter of Robert L. Reining and Sandra Kay Carmel Sutherland. Julie graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School in 1989, was a certified welder, and earned her Associate's degree in Business Administration and Business Mathematics from North Central State College. Her passion was cooking. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends and camping outdoors.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sandra Kay and Bobby Sutherland; sisters, Karen (Jeffrey) Schultz and Tina (Jeffrey) Carroll; longtime boyfriend, Larry Comer; stepbrother, Gerald Sutherland; stepsister, Anita Calame; paternal grandmother, Lucille Johnson; aunts and uncles, Keith Carmel, Marilyn (Steve) Roman, Linda Griffith, Randy Reining; great-uncle, James Cecil Fleming; and cousins, Ray Cooper, Dawn Cooper, Damon Griffith, Sunshine Reining, Valerie Kiser, Travis Cross, and Linda and Lisa Fleming. She is also survived by a nephew due in November 2008, the son of Karen and Jeffrey Schultz. Preceding her in death were her son, Aaron Jacob Sutherland; father, Robert L. Reining, Jr.; grandparents, Herbert and Agnes Poland and Robert Reining, Sr.; and great-grandparents, Gladys and Alvin Fleming.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 1 at 1:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12 to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
