Donna Mesecke (Dalton) Hi Everyone! How ya been? I have often wondered where everyone went after we left school. Laura Johnson (Yarbrough) I don't know where anyone is, but I'll be there. I feel bad because I haven't been able to go to any of the get togethers. My life has slowed down some, so maybe I'll make the next one. I will definitely be at the reunion with bells on. No feathers, though.

Hey there Manvel Friends!

I just want to take a second to let you all know how excited I am to come to the Manvel Reunion - way more than going to the Alvin Reunion actually! Seeing all of your names on facebook and on this reunion site have brought back so many memories and I am really looking foward to seeing each of you and finding out where life has taken you.

As you might know, we live in Austin, so I don't have the opportunity to connect with Manvel friends as much as I would like. I am so thankful that I have been able to maintain precious and dear friendships with Coletta and my Manvel Girls (Shannon, Shannon, Angie, Jennifer and Jennifer) through all of these years.

I often find myself talking to friends in daily life about how fortunate I feel to have gone to such a small school and live in a small town. Most people seemed shocked that I have so many friends from elementary and junior high, but I think that is part of what makes our group special.

As we get closer to this Manvel Reunion, I am flooded with memories of each of you from our childhood.

I don't really know or care about the details of the reunion and quite frankly, I'd be happy to just sit in a field and drink some beers and catch up. Yippee!!! It is going to be so much fun!

P.S. And about the survey. I obviously can't say no Alvin people, cause I married one and he'll probably need to drive my drunk ass home. But, I guess I'm not loving the idea of it being a combined reunion. I mean, how much fun will the Alvin folks be able to have when we are all sitting around trying to reinact scooter board races in the Manvel Elementary cafeteria? And they totally won't understand why I might be handing out pieces of bubble gum to friends I see picking up trash - ala Mrs. Barnes the custodian. Right?

I am really hoping for something a little more low key and a true chance to visit with old friends. And then Saturday we can have a great time catching up with AHS people knowing that we had our chance to catch up the night before.
