Thanks for building the website...I think it is a fantastic idea! Sorry it took me so long to catch up. What is the exact date? I hope I can make it. I miss you all! What the heck is everyone doing these days? Am I the only crazy one that built a home in Manvel? Looks like most of you ran as far away as you could.
Tonight (Tuesday July 7th 2009) Franklin, Jennifer Reilly and myself (along with Shannon Norwood via phone) met to go over the details. Our visit was great, it was great to see a few of us back together and get caught up (Jennifer's daughters are beautiful by the way).
I am going to send out an email to all of you with a few things we discussed so all of you are on the same page as us.
We hope all of you are doing great and we can't wait to see all of y'all.
well guys , i sure hope yall like the way we have been doing things with the reunion. we are trying to get everyones input and go from there, we are wanting to make this a night to remember....
Sorry. I just spend my free computer time on facebook :)!! Thanks, guys! These are the people that have the closest bond, all the way from the beginning!! Can't wait to see everyone!
Folks, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who keeps everything, but thought someone may be interested in knowing that I actually have a complete copy of the May 22, 1985 edition of The War Cry. If someone would like I can scan the pages and email them to you to pass around at the reunion. I unfortunately found out to late to be able to attend myself. I noticed that some of you were part of The War Cry staff and may want to see what you were writing about back then.
I've emailed copies of The War Cry to both Frank Autrey and Shea Wallace. They should have copies at the reunion for everyone to see. If you'd like to take a look before then, you can check out my MySpace or Facebook pages. If I haven't already added you as a friend I will. Just look under My Photos in an Albumn titled The War Cry. Hope you enjoy. If anyone would like copies of their own just send me an email and I'll get it to you. rduvendeck@zoominternet.net
hey guys a couple more days . looking good so far.If yall know of anyone who is on this list and they dont know about it let them know so we can make it bigger
Ok, I must check out the webcast. Thanks for setting that up! I even have a webcam that I can use if anyone's gonna bring their laptop. (doesn't darn near everyone have one these days??)
I hope everything goes smoothly for the reunion. I will be thinking about all y'all and hopefully catch a glimpse through the intarwebz!
It was good to see all my friends from back in the day. I am looking forward to seeing all of you again real soon.
There were lots of cameras flashing that night unfortunately mine was not one of them. If you have some pictures that you can send me I would greatly appreciate it. I will be setting up a Facebook account soon so I can stay in touch with many of you.
Hey all, most of you don't know me but I attended Manvel Elem. from k-2nd. Looking at the list of alumni I recognize about a dozen names or so. I found Shauna on facebook last week and now I find myself trying to pull memories out of my melon from 31 years ago. I went by Benny back then, lived in Iowa Colony, was in cub scouts and played little league baseball. My mother "Miss Paula" drove the Bus #10 (one of three I think lol) back in those days. I'm going to try to go visit my mom this weekend and see if she has any pics from back then, or my year books for that matter. Anyway sure am glad this site was brought to my attention and I look forward to catching up to some old childhood friends.
