Our oldest son Gabe lives in a neighboring town and our son, Michael, was deployed to Egypt in May. We still have 2 kids living at home.
I live on a small homestead (which means a house on 3 acres) in west central Illinois with my sweet husband. We have 5 horses, 1 pony, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 40some chickens. I'm very involved with "Music Boosters" at our schools and church.
I've learned to talk 'rural mid-west', which causes people to laugh at me. Not where I expected to be when I graduated, but I'm definitely happy.

Rooming with Mary Burt and Claire Guitarz on our senior class trip. Mary went across the road to steal some oranges out of the orchard just for the fun of it. She came running into the room with a shirt full of almost ripe oranges yelling to hide them cause a teacher was coming. As she was pulling them out of her shirt, I was stuffing them in mine because it was so funny. Claire was laughing so hard she almost fell out of her chair.
