Hello Fellow Classmates,

It's been a rough 25 years, but God's grace has kept me thru it all. My husband passed in 2002. We had only one child during our 15 and a half years of marraige. I've been thru a couple of jobs here and there (been jobless) but I'm blessed with a great job now. I LOVE WHAT I DO! I am dating again but I don't know how far it will go cuz I've been there done that marriage thang! LOL! I debating on whether or not to come to the 25th cuz my lil brother's getting married that weekend. I miss you guys and really want to see everyone but that's family. That's tough on me. Anyhoo gotta get back to filing. Oh yeah I threw in a few pics. Twin (Michael) check me out. God Bless you all.

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and celebrated the season with Christ as in rembering that Jesus is the reason. As we embark upon a new year for change, we can mark this as an historic moment in time in the election 08 we voted for the first elect black President. In keeping this theme of change, I hope that we all can embark on a new era of change for our own individual lives. The year 2009, a year not only marking change but completion. So whatever you have started in your lives, I admonish you this year to complete your task, goals, dreams.

Hi all,

I moved back home two years ago. I have seen a few classmates that I remember and a lot who remember me. Through facebook, I have recently begun correspondence with Manita (Wolfe) Forney-Texas and Evid Fung-Washington, DC. Mildred Carlton-Marianna, Jackie Esau(I don't remember her married name)-Marianna, Denise (Massey) Tucker, Jaqueline Parks-Marianna area, and Ureal Lucky-Forrest City have been in touch with me. We are just slow about getting online. Some plan to attend the reunion and others may not. I think Verna and Carlene are doing a good job with this. I actually found the class of '83 site before I found this one. Micheal, I will pray for you. I have a lot of friends as well as as adopted daughter in the service. Be safe.

F.Y.I. Did you not know that it was the class of 1984 football team that broke Lee High School (1) game winning streak. Remember, 1980-1982, Lee High School only won (1) game against Memphis Tech only for (3) years in a row. However, in 1983, the class of 1984 football team broke that record by winning over (5) games including homecoming against Helena-West Helena. We almost advanced to the state play-offs, but fail short by a few points by shutting out Blytheville who advanced on successfully. I was really proud of our football team who done such a good job. Go Trojans, Ureal Lucky, Ricky Hardy, Terry Buchanon, Leotis Baker, Quindell Norment, Ocie Conley, Waymond Peer, and many more. If I forgot your name, please forgive me but please do add on to our class history breaking moments.

F.Y.I. Did you not know that, the class of 1984 cheerleading squad, under the leadership of Lisa Humbert, Shasta Cook, and Marichel Stevenson, won the highest number of awards ever at Lee High School. We advanced on to the grand- finals, received the highest award given for outstanding performance by a varsity squad, the most spirit award(firecracker),plus the congeniality award. No cheerleading squad at Lee High School has ever been that successful. Furthermore, let me add that, we were the only all african american squad to advance so far in the competition at Henderson State University. Rah Rah to the class of 1984 cheerleaders who made our year the most successful one, ever for Lee High School. Shasta Cook, Lisa Humbert, Martha Jackson, Cynthia Nicholson, and Marichel Stevenson.

F.Y.I. The class of 1984 was the first class to have "class night" instead of "class day" like the other previous classes. It was us that started that trend.

Dito Debra?

Do anybody remember when we use to play dominos and eat chocolate moon pies in Mr. Sander's classroom? I really miss those days. Thinking about all of those gone on before us makes me appreciates each day more and more. "Truth be told" I'm not ready to die, I haven't really lived yet. I spent most of my life raising children and working hard. I really need a vacation. DOn't get me wromg I love my children and thank GOd for being there during the tough times but I just need some me time.

Oh yeah, I remember those days because I was in Mr. Sanders homeroom with you all.We learned a lot and had lots of fun at the same time, I really miss that kind of stuff. Boy, when I tell some of the students my stories, they are in disbelief. Get this, they (students) can't believe that we had recess breaks K-12th grades because recess stops in elementary school here in Georgia. Also, they can't believe that we walked, unescorted to lunch in middle school and did not have to sit with our teachers. We have to walk our classes to lunch and sit with them because they do not know how to behave themselves. Each and everyday, I feel very proud to say that I received educational learning from the Arkansas School system.

I remember those days in Mr. Sanders class also Alesia. I learned how to play dominoes in the 8th grade. Life is precious. Enjoy every moment!

That's where I learned how to play to Jacquelyn. And Thanks to Mr. Sanders. I woop heads fromm Wisconsin to Mississippi when I'm on the Domino table.
Do you all remember lunch at Lee Sr. High, where you can have hamburger, regular lunch soup or salad. The best cookies and fruits to. Breakfast was good to. We had a choice. What cSchool does that now? We truly had it made. Now my children lunch is cooked on the outside and frozen on the inside. You should see the lunch trays that goes in the garbage.

03/15/09 09:54 PM #29

Lisa Humbert

Oh yeah, I remember those breakfasts and lunches, they were the "bomb", everything was made from scratch. Those lunch ladies(mostly my grandmother friends) arrived at work at 5:00am to start cooking, now they get there at 7:00am. Boy, I look at those lunches and cry and to think, they actually made me pay for that garbage for my child. Alesia, I must say that the high school lunches are a little bit better but not so healthy. Also, a whole lot more expensive. At my daughter's public high school, they had a choice, regular school lunch, Chik-fi-la, Pizza Hut, Wendy's or Subway. Of course, you had to pay for the fast food, and the meals were a dollar more than regular cost.

Myself, Verna Council, Kathy Moore, Darren Webb, Lorretta Williams and Anita Hale all attended the funeral services for Douglas Williams. There were some beautiful things said about Douglas. Everyone spoke about what a kind person he was. Let us all remember to keep his family in our prayers.
