Hey guys, does anyone know where Ms. White (english teacher) is these days? I think of her often.
Will there be any of our "seasoned" teachers at the reunion?

Hey Shasta, I need a copy of that picture. By the way, the year was 1981-1982, remember, we were entering sophomores. Remember, the upperclassmen tried to bully us because it was our first year at Lee High School, but we showed them who was boss, "us", Shasta Cook, Verna Council, Milton Green, Lisa Humbert, Cynthia Nicholson, and Marichel Stevenson.

Yeah Shasta, those camps were a blast, we really had a good time. I really looked forward to going every year, that's why worked so hard in the cotton fields and CETA program. That was our time to "shine", our senior was the best year ever.

Hey Wanda Boo, I often see Mr. Sanders, Coach Noel, Mr. & Mrs. Hall at the reunions. If you would like to see some of those "seasoned teachers", please attend a UAPB Homecoming game, they're always there for a day. My daughter had the opportunity to meet Mr. & Mrs McCoy and Mr. McCoy, our junior high principal, gave her some stories about me.Lol

A few of you guys are not going to make it to the reunion. You are saying maybe you will come to the next one. The truth is that we are getting older. Tommorrow is a stretch. We have this chance to come together at this moment and reminisce over the past and present. Let us take advantage of this golden opportunity. I left Marianna at the beginning of High School, I missed out on a few of my friends growing into maturity and I look forward to seeing all of you. I am very excited.

I understand that there are circumstances that some of you absolutely cannot make it. I look forward to seeing the people that can.

ONCE AGAIN JACKIE YOU ARE RIGHT.
TOMORROW IS NOT PORMISED TO ANY OF US.
I PRAY THAT IF "LIFE LAST AND DEATH PASS"
I WILL GET A CHANCE TO SEE ALL OF YOU.
SACRIFICE IS A GOOD THING TO DO FOR THIS REUNION.
WE SERVE AN AWESOME GOD!!!
BE BLESSED,
lesia

First of all, I would like to thank Alesia Robinson-Jones for those inspiring words, they really touched my heart. Like I said before, you are the official "Guardian Angel" of the Class of 1984. Mother's Day is a difficult day for those of us who have lost our mothers, prayer and time helps our heart to heal. It was rough, but I thank God for mercy and guidance that seen me through that day.My prayers also goes out to other class members, who may have also lost their mothers. Jackie Parks, you are on the money, life is not promised to us;therefore, we must utilize it wisely while we are here on earth.

Its been 25 years and I can still remember our class song. It came from the song, "Yesterday" I believe subsituted the word yesterday and replaced it with te word graduation. The words were, Graduation, a day that seemed so very far away...now it looks like it is here to stay, o'I'm so glad to graduate...Something like that. I can still here the melody. I remember the good old 80s. The way we dressed, jeri curls, and our music. We were a class and a time to be remembered. It seems like yesterday. Those 25 years have passed so quickly. We use to think that 40 was old and now here we are at 40 something. I believe this reunion is one that everyone should try their best to make. We our older but wiser. We are older ut not to old to still get down. We are older but a whole lot smarter. We have been through many struggle but we have survived. Our 25 years is a time to celebrate our past, present, and future. It is to celebrate our successes and also our losses. We our mature enough to learn from the mistakes of the past. We are young enough to continue to strive for excelecne. We are old enough to make positive contributuins to society. We have come a long ways yet we have many miles to continue to travel. Some we have lost along the way and many we have gained. Our children are grown up. Some of us have grandchildren. Lets make this celebration a reunion to remember. I look forward to seeing all of you. Love Ms Mary Washington

For each of you. You all are very special to me and each of you were in my heart during the days i was sitting and waiting the bombs to stop. You were all in my mind when I was being driven by my driver in bagdad like some James Bond speed way hope to reach the gate with out incident. You all were in my mind when I felt the ground shake like a movement from the hand of God making it shake when a sucide bomber blowed up one of our gates called Castle Gate and took some to where we not have seen yet but will pray that we are received one day. I love my class each one of you. I love the one and few that may not for some reason make this event; I love each of you that do make the event and i look forward to setting down and sharing each of your lifes. Please feel free when each of you see me to share your life with me and I will do the same. Feel free to discuss or ask question about what you may not understand about the WAR it will be ok with me. Love each of you and see u soon. From Ronnie Ray Long, Jr.

We love you too Ronnie, and most of all, the class of 1984 is so thankful to God that he spared your life. Granted, we are sorrowful for everyone, including myself, who lost loved ones in this war;however, we are thankful for those who were able to come back home to their families. I, along with others have not stop praying that this war will end soon, but their is something out there called "democracy" that's being fought for by our soldiers. Again Ronnie, I thank God you were able to come to come home.

Hey, You know that you are getting old when the year of your graduation is used as a spirit week stunt during homecoming week. How about my daughter's school had a 80's Day and you all should have seen those kids. They looked exactly like us back in the 80's with the tall hair, jeri curls, leg warmers, etc. I was thinking about posting her pictures, they are something to see.

It's almost that time and guess what!!!
instead of loosing 5 lbs I gained 12. What a boomer.

I'm not worried about how I look, my concern is my health.

05/19/09 04:27 PM #106

Jacquelyn Parks

You are right Alesia. Health is very important. I did not lose the 10 lbs that Lisa and I pledged. I am o.k. We are still going to have a fantastic time.

Do anyone have Felisha Armstrong's phone number?
I noticed her name was still on the missing classmate
list.
I talked to Elisa Lee about a month ago and told her as well as Deniece(?) Massey and Richard Ingram last week and told them about the reunion.
Elisa is in Indianna, Deniese and Richard is in Marianna.
