Well, well, well, someone else is actually looking at this.  Marc is in hiding.  He may emerge before August, but he will have to be in disguise.  That's all I can say.

I'd like to know what is up for Friday. That always seems to be more fun, and more casual!

Nancye Larkin (Bruck)

It's only Saturday. Miami boat club is the most casual place already. So it should be a lot of fun! Get your RSVP in would ya!  :)

Don Knight

Well, after missing every single reunion up to this one, I plan to get to the area Friday morning and hang until Monday morning.  Any recommendations as to where top stay in the area are welcome, as well as any impromptu ideas for get togethers Friday and Sunday.

Most classes have been going to Hahanna Beach on Fridays since Wooster Tavern is now Macs. Tradition is that all classes can go Friday nights if they are a MHS grad (usually by word of mouth or if your sibling graduated from Mariemont you know about it). Miami boat club isn't super close to those who are in the area, especially if you are driving yourself, so Friday is much easier to connect with some if they are staying local. I might be there Sat so I'll send it in :)

Don, there is a Hilton Garden Inn right up the hill from the Boat Club.  It is off 275 at the Wards Corner Exit.

All the fun will be had on Saturday night at the Boat Club!  It's only a mile past the gravel pits.  Back in the day that was never too far to travel :)  Put on your party shoes and come to the Boat Club Saturday.

Carol Jones (Horvitz)

Susan Lowe (Raftery)

Anyone interested in creating a play list for the evening?  The Boat Club has a great sound system that is iPod ready.  All you have to do is plug it in and watch the dancing begin!!

07/07/14 11:46 AM #17

Tina Costanzo

Oh my!  Thought the DJ would do this, with songs from the 70's!  Dancing under the stars...can't wait!

07/10/14 07:35 AM #18

Susan Lowe (Raftery)

After each reunion our class bank account is nearly depleted.  The DJ is one of our biggest out of pocket expenses and he is not cheap. When the responses were slow to come in we were faced with the potential of paying the bills out of our own pockets.  So we decided the safe and responsible thing to do was cancel the DJ and put any extra funds towards our 40th reunion.  This will give us a little cushion which will help in the planning of the next event and hopefully keep costs manageable for everyone.

Jeanne Cadwallader

Hello kids!  For those of us who have memory issues I created two tiny urls for this site:

http://tinyurl.com/mhs1979  and  http://tinyurl.com/mariemont-1979.

Eh-hem...I can't seem to find this page when I want it...so I thought this might help.

I later noticed that if you simply 'google' mariemont 1979 the page pops up as well.

Regardless fyi!

Oh yeah.......and did I mention I created two tiny urls for this site?  ;-p

With enough beer I could always sing the hits......or not!

07/29/14 11:13 PM #23

Linda Scott (Bartlett)

I thought the deadline was Aug 1, but then I found my reading glasses (on top of my head!) and I see I'm a month late (good thing that doesn't sound as scary as it used to!)

Guess that's one bad thing and one good thing about getting older...

So is it too late for Rob and me to join the fun at the Boat Club?

07/30/14 11:45 AM #24

Tina Costanzo

Linda,

That late comment was very, very funny!  If it is too late (very doubtful because I did the same thing), you know you can always crash parties at the Boat Club.  Didn't you ever do that back in the day??

07/30/14 01:25 PM #25

Carol Jones (Horvitz)

I intend to crash the party, hahaha
