Susan Lowe (Raftery)

Glad to see the three of you getting this conversation started!!!   Tina, even though we have a FB page there is not much activity going on there either.   Hopefully people will start  signing on to this stie to join the fun.

Can't wait to see everyone.

Sarah Vogt (Marencic)

OMG people! I was wondering if anyone was planning on coming! Was beginning to think that my plane ticket purchase from AZ  was doomed for a refund... I don't have FB so this sight is it. Where is everybody? I mean I didn't even GRADUATE from MHS- but I do remember a human chain used to get across the Little Miami River to an island where someone took my jeans from a drying rack...Sarah Vogt

Tina Costanzo

I'm very happy to see someone else isn't all wrapped up in FB!  I have a vague memory of those human chains.  Don't know if the new generation hangs by the river.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Randy Smith

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Hello there Tina!

Chris Harrington

Sarah, I did not graduate from Mariemont either, but remember you and eveyone else fondly.  I also avoid FB at all costs.  Nothing good comes out of it. I will try to make it to the reunion, but work often interfers with life.

Tina Costanzo

I'm very excited to see how the disco theme is pulled off this reunion!!

Chris,

Do we have your current address?  If you did not receive an invitation let me know and we'll get it in the mail asap.  (Linda Scott is managing the list of addreses).

Nancye Larkin (Bruck)

Oh my god, 40th reunion. Cant believe we have been out of HS for 40 years. Seems like yesterday we were wearing those god aweful gym uniforms and drooling over Kish the Dish. Hanging outside in the smoking lounge (not smoking of course). Learning to type with Mrs. Messner and Bud or watching the NCAA finals game between NC Tarheels and Kentucky Wildcats with Mr. Gossard and Mr. Woods. Riding around in Marthas mean green or Christies Pinto. Drinking little kings, deflating bus tires and partying at the river. So many more memories to talk about and lives to catch up on. I cant wait to see everyone again. Sarah Vogt it has been forever since I have seen you! So excited you are coming.

Lets get this party started... Like its 1979

Barbie Bless (McCarthy)

I thought we agreed to never talk about the bus tires again!

Chris Harrington

Susan, got the invitation.  Just wating to see if I can clear my schedule.  If Tina agrees to dance on the tables at The Barn, I might try harder to clear the schedule.  And yes, bus tires!

Tina Costanzo

I'm so glad to see "in writing" that you are all fessing up to the trouble you caused and I always got BLAMED for!

Hi back Rande!

Chris, Marc told me that you would have a work excuse.  If you wear your themed John Travolta white suit, I'll dance the night away.  Should be quite a sight!

Burn baby burn!  It's a disco inferno!  Susan, Nancye, and the rest of our planners, what a great idea!

Hi Barbie & Tina, been forever,  hope everyone is well.

Mary Bailey (Erftenbeck)

Looking forward to seeing everyone! Is it sappy if I want to add Stairway to Heaven to the play list?

09/01/19 03:07 PM #64

Linda Scott (Bartlett)

Mary I think it would be a crime to NOT play Stairway to Heaven at our 40th...Great suggestion! I hope there's going to be a lot more non-disco music for those of us who "like that old-time rock n roll" (and new-time). However, I have fond/fuzzy memories of Brick House booming out during dances in the Commons, and would add that to the playlist!

And Nancye, what about drinking and throwing darts with Pat Christy at the Milcroft? We thought we were so grown up!

RSVP deadline was yesterday so I'm hoping for a huge number in the mail on Tuesday after the holiday...but if you've forgotten, there's still time to get yours in. We have a planning meeting on Friday 9/6, it would be great to have numbers so we are sure to have enough food and drinks for everyone. Be sure to order a memory book, it's going to be a nice one (and at your age, it might be helpful as well ðŸ˜‰).

Glad so many can make it - and thanks to those who have let us know they can't, via RSVP, FB or other. Reminder, let me know if you didn't get an invitation & we'll confirm your address and send you another.

Invites have been returned for Myrtha Canellas Socritus, Marty Hobbs, Susan Jacobs McSherry, & Jay Wilson - please let me know if you can get me in contact with any of them. Thanks, see you soon!

Let me know numbers as soon as you can Linda. Thank you.

Mary Bailey (Erftenbeck)

Yes! Brick House too! CSN&Y. Jackson Brown. America. Bread (lol) Stones. Moody Blues..... who else?

My check is in the mail Linda. It felt funny to write a check, we write so few these days, don’t we?

Hugs to all! See you soon.

Mox

Linda, Susan Jacobs updated her profile a few weeks ago, so if you message her, I'm sure she will update her address.

Kathy Bell (Curtis)

Everytime I read these posts I get even more excited to see you all!!!  And yes, it really does seem like yesterday.  I have been really lucky to catch up with Martha now that we live just 20 minutes from each other.

Linda Scott (Bartlett)

Thanks Tina! I emailed her at the one on her profile but it bounced back. Found another physical address on whitepages so I sent another invitation - hope it finds her!

Looking for your rsvp today, Mary, along with lots of others, I hope smiley

Lolly Watkins (Taylor)

Linda, I misplaced my invitation but just found it. My RSVP will go in the mail today. Jeff and I will be there with bells on. And maybe clothes.

Can anyone help? Julie Flickner Edelman's invitation was just returned to me today. Her email from CC bounced back, that phone # has been reassigned. I've gotten another address off whitepages.com but would love if someone can confirm it's correct so I don't waste more time waiting for it to be returned again. The phone # on WP is disconnected.

Lolly, I'm so glad you're coming! I'd like to say clothing is optional, as I'm sure we all still have the toned, fit bodies we had at 18, but the Barn has strict rules...you must wear shoes.

See y'all soon!

Mary Bailey (Erftenbeck)

Julie is on FB, but I can’t seem to update to messenger to contact her. Anyone else friends with her?

Lolly Watkins (Taylor)

I just messaged Julie on Messenger. It shows that she was active an hour ago, so hopefully I'll hear back from her soon. I'll let you know.

OK, I finally got this strange system to work. I’ll go with “My Old School” by Steely Dan. I mean, how many of us went to a college that made it into a top 40,song? Carol and I will be there. Are we going to have any champagne to toast ourselves or are we doing Jell-O shots? I heard the Wooster Tavern is a family joint now. Are we going to take it over on Friday or go somewhere else? Fill me in. Inquiring minds want to know.
