REUNION INFORMATION

The class of 1953 met on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Da Vincis with Ruth Tebay, Nancy and Herb Smith, Fran Basim, Wanda Wagner, Jane Seevers, Patsy Brown, Ruth Thorniley, Sue Wagner, Will Dimit, Dale and Mary Kay Ferrell, Jim and Shirley Wilson, Joe and Sally Matthews, Dave and Susan Smith, Nancy Harris and Martha Taylor attending.

The reunion will be Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 at the American Legion in Marietta. We will invite other classes to join us on Friday night. Friday, we will have hors devours from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. The social hour will start on Saturday at 5:00 with dinner at 6:00. The cost of the meal will be $11.70. It will cost $25 each night for a bartender.

We decided that we will have a meat tray and a cheese tray for refreshments Friday evening. There will be a cash bar for Friday and Saturday night and will cost $25 total each night for the bartender. On Saturday we will have a buffet of roast beef, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, pie and carrot cake. Sunday, the buffet breakfast will be at the VFW.

Friday the hours will be from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. On Saturday, the social hour will be at 5:30 and the dinner will start at 6:30. Brenda and Bill Grady will present music from 7:30 until 10:30 on Saturday for $150. The Sunday breakfast will be at 9:00 A.M.

The meat tray and the cheese tray will cost $1.25 each per person and the buffet dinner will cost $11.70 each. To help defray the cost of the bartender, etc. the charges per person will be – $5.00 for Friday and $15.00 for Saturday with gratuity included. Breakfast will be $6.00 without gratuity added. The total charge for each individual who attends all 3 events will be $25.

It was agreed that we would give the Door Prize/Decorations Committee $300 to use. Decorations will be mums on the table.
