After graduation, I worked multiple jobs in and around Marinette. Met my Coastie in Marinette in 2005 while he was stationed there during the construction of the USCGC Mackinaw (GLIB). In May 2007 he was transferred to Portland, Maine-my first military move. While living there, I worked at a rehabilitation hospital assisting patients with their physical and occupational therapy. John proposed to me at Portland Headlight in Dec. 07, we got married at that same lighthouse in Aug. 08. Found out in Dec 08 we were expecting our first child (a boy). John advanced to Chief in 2009, so we were transferred to St. Louis, MO in May. Our son Vinny was born in August 2009 and I am now a proud stay-at-home mom!
