Jerry Roes Obituary

Jerry Michael Roes, 75, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died on Monday, March 13, 2023. Born July 14, 1947, in Bell, California, he was the son of the late Frank Roes and Mary Terzo Roes.
Jerry graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Marion, Ohio. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a letter handler. His family will remember Jerry as being a hardcore supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Blue Oyster Cult fan and loving his trips to Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Christie Arnold.
He is survived by his sons Shane Roes and Jerrod Roes; daughter Tiara Swords; sister Robin Roes; brothers Casey Roes and Frank Roes; and dear friend and mother of Jerrod, Nancy Roes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 1 pm in the rotunda of Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery at Pegram.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. A Landmark since 1785, "Where Nashville Comes to Remember."

I remember Jerry as a easy going, funny person. I'm glad we had a friendship in our younger days.

I agree with Rick that Jerry was an "easy going, funny person".  I would like to add that Jerry could shoot a basketball better than anyone else in our class - including the varsity!

Jerry was a good friend when we were trying to grow up, and we used to hang out together A LOT. We had a riot! He was one of the good guys, and I regret I didn't visit him in Tenn. when I went back and forth from Fl. to my place in NC. I always flew into Ashville or Greenville SC..  Wonderful sense of humor and a good and great guy. He was my Buddy
