Sorry to hear of John's passing.  Always enjoyed the photo's of you and Mindy's journeys.  The Honor Flight really struck home.  I've added a couple of pictures,  One John had sent me a copy and the other one was taken before John and I went on a Safety Patrol trip to Washington DC when we were in the 8th grade (1961).  We've lost another veteran.  Rest in Peace my friend.  Ski

I am so sorry to hear the news of John's passing. He had  been such a light recently at the reunions. I was looking forward to seeing him and you, Mindy, at our next gathering. I'm sure you're aware that he had already made a reservation for the July 2020 reunion that had to be canceled because of Covid. It sure would've been nice to see you two one more time. He was quiet in high school but always the gentleman and ready to help anybody who needed him. It was obvious the love that you two shared as we all visited during our reunion times. We will keep you, Mindy, and the family in our prayers.

And so goes another stellar person from our Class of 1965.   Being that we were always classmates and good friends even when our football practices seemed to be never-ending and physically difficult!   He consistently was positive and often tried to buoy everyone up with a good comment or saying.   Thanks, John, for all the memories, and for being a good friend!   Rest in peace.    ...Mr Ed

I'm so sorry to hear of Johns passing.  He always had a smile on his face in the halls of Marion Catholic High.  Always the gentleman and kind to all.

Mindy and classmates- I sure wasn't expecting to hear that John had passed away. I'm so glad we sat together at the Waldo get together awhile back. It was a nice opportunity to hear about you, Mindy, and John's adventures together and share some time to catch up on our lives. I love Ski's pic of John- such a handsome guy he was! I never remember him being mean or unkind in any way when we were at MCH. You never worried that John would be anything but a gentle person- so much dignity. I'm grateful he was part of our class.

I didn't know John that well. I just remember John on the track team and all of the encouragament he gave us.

Thanks Ski for the picture, that is how I remember John.

Mr. Ed stated so graciously: "And so goes another stellar person from our Class of 1965."

Best to John's family.
