After a year at TSTI, I was drafted into the Army in 1969. While serving a tour in Viet Nam, I was injured and was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Following my military commitment, I worked for more than 17 years as a government employee, including 15 years as a postal working, becomeing Marlin's first black mail carrier. In 1988 I became s sales manager for Dudley Products and continued to pursue my interest in real estate.
School Story:
Indoubtedly, we all have a "Mable Tyrone" story. One of my personal memories is the day that I was struggling to pronounce a word: "Sonaba..., sonnba..."
"Shut up, Stewart", Mrs. Tyrone interrupted, "before you say "Son of a bitch!"
"Mrs. Tyrone, I'm tie-tongued", I attempted to explain.
"No, Stewart, you're just lazy-tongued."
