Received Associates in Business from Kilgore College and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Texas A&M University (1986).
After college, I moved back to Marshall and worked for a few years at Yates Construction, but moved to Houston in 1990 to work for Brown & Root, Inc. (Major engineering & construction company). While with Brown & Root, I traveled with work staying mainly in the southern US.
In 1994, moved to Rwanda Africa to work with the United Nations (contracted thru Brown & Root). As part of the UN response to the Rwandan genocide, I managed the project controls and engineering departments for the Brown & Root contract. I stayed for 1.5 years.
I moved to Mobile, AL in 1996 working with B&R and eventually for Clark, Geer, Latham & Associates Engineering. I met Amy (my wife) and married her in 1997.
In 2005, I started working with FEMA on the hurricanes which hit Florida in 2004. Currently, I am supervising the engineering group for the Mississippi Long Term Recovery Operation dealing with recovery for hurricane Katrina. In late 2010, I moved my family to Gulfport, MS to be closer to my work here on the coast.
