Christopher Scott "Chris" Epperson was born August 09, 1962 in Waukegan, Illinois to Lindsey and Johnnie Epperson. Chris was a graduate of Marshall High School and was employed by SWEPCO as a transmission coordinator. He loved computers, gadgets and collecting knives. A lover of the outdoors, you could often find Chris fishing on an East Texas Lake or hunting in the piney woods. Chris was a whistler, often whistling while he worked or just messing around the house.
A funeral service for Christopher Scott “Chris” Epperson, 53, of Marshall was held at 10am Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment followed the service at Huffines Cemetery in Huffines, Texas. Services were entrusted to Downs Funeral Home of Marshall, Texas.
Surviving Chris is his loving wife of 32 years, Jeri “Suzi” Epperson; his son, Joshua Epperson; brother, Greg Epperson (Lizz), brother, Brad Epperson, brother, Joey Epperson, sister, Jackie Degner (Brian), brother, Patrick Epperson, brother, Tracey Epperson, brother, Kiley Epperson (Laurie), sister, Lindsay Adams (Todd); his mother, Johnnie Epperson; mother-in-law, Mary Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Kay Carmer and Cindy Prim; his special companions, his pets, Lucy, Sally and Pee Wee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Lindsey “Randy” Epperson.
Chris was a kind man, loved by many and will be missed greatly.
