Doris Mae Farr was born on a farm in Laurel, Iowa on September 02, 1922.  She married LaVern Taylor on May 27, 1951. She died on March 26, 1996 in Sweetwater, Tennessee.  LaVern Taylor was born on October 25, 1917, and died on December 20, 1999 in Sweetwater Tennessee. LaVern was a SF2 in the United States Navy and is interred in the Center Cemetary  in Tellico Plains, TN. Many of Vern’s relatives still live in the Belle Plaine, Iowa area.  They lived in Marshalltown, Iowa; and Chicago Heights, Illinois before moving to their final home in Tennessee.  Doris loved to play the guitar, and the highlight of many of our reunions was she and Vern singing their favorite songs.
